Mr. Geibel is a partner in the Los Angeles office and chairman of the firm's insurance defense department.  Mr. Geibel's practice focuses on civil litigation and appeals in all state and federal courts within California as well as arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association and other tribunals.  Representative insurance clients of the firm include State Farm Fire & Casualty Company, State Farm Automobile Insurance Company, Clarendon and Blue Cross of Southern California.  Mr. Geibel is lead trial counsel on insurance defense cases within the firm, and, in addition to defense of common personal injury and property damage claims, has particularized experience in slope failure and subsidence litigation, "toxic" mold claims and remediation, construction defect or accident litigation, home sale misrepresentation claims, defense of malicious prosecution cases, catastrophic injury and wrongful death actions, drug manufacturing and pharmacy claims, and products liability cases.

Mr. Geibel is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, has been an active trial lawyer for over 20 years, and he has also served in the capacity of expert witness and mediator.  His expertise extends to insurance coverage issues under both liability and property policies, including issues relating to duty to defend, Cumis triggering coverage reservations, uninsured and under-insured motorist claims, and first party property loss claims.
