The Insurance and Suretyship Department of Gibbs, Giden, Locher, Turner & Senet LLP represents both insureds and insurers in claims and coverage disputes, including first-party property losses, casualty claims, surety claims, reinsurance, excess insurance, and multi-carrier litigation. Within this practice group, GGLTS has expertise in risk management and the analysis, negotiation and litigation of insurance coverage issues common to the business, real estate, manufacturing and construction industries.

We currently represent corporate clients, public entities and serve as insurance panel defense counsel with respect to coverage disputes and the defense of civil litigation, including catastrophic casualty losses, construction defect claims, builder's risk, title claims, environmental claims, product liability, professional liability, directors and officers liability, fidelity claims, complex mass tort and class action claims.

In pursuing insurance benefits for our clients, we have obtained multi-million dollar awards and recoveries for insured losses. We also advise developers, businesses and public entities regarding risk management and insurance issues on major capital improvement projects, public contracts and specialized insurance programs, including owner/contractor controlled insurance programs, wrap-up insurance, contractor/subcontractor default insurance, surety bonds and other special risks.
